Special Skills
This page explains the Special Skill system, the currently available types, and how the two skill slots work on a card.
Special Skills system
Special Skill gives each card a second layer of identity beyond normal stats and abilities. It is used to create unique reactions, turn pressure, or a signature style for the card.
The current system supports two special skill slots per card, so a strong build can combine a front-loaded skill with a second backup or follow-up skill.
Special Skill types currently available
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| physical | A direct physical-themed skill variant. |
| magical | A magic-based skill variant. |
| dpr | Damage-per-round style skill behavior. |
| dsr | Legacy alias that maps to dpr in save logic. |
| stat_boost | A skill that improves battle stats. |
| boost | Legacy alias that maps to stat_boost in save logic. |
How the skill behaves
- Each skill can carry a name, description, power value, duration, and image.
- Some skills are better for offense, while others are made for defense or momentum control.
- The duration field helps define whether the effect is brief or sustained.
- Two skill slots let you mix different combat patterns on the same card.
Good setup pattern
Use one Special Skill for the main identity of the card, then use the second skill to support its weakness or extend its win condition.
